Today, I finished book four of an ongoing saga. It's amazing how far the characters have come, considering how and where it all began. This is the first novel series I've ever read, but I still believe I picked one of the best out there. Everything is answered well and nothing is rushed, with more questions at every turn; then again I suppose those are the main mechanics of any novel. Now I just have to wait six more months for book five, woot! Anyway, not too much is gonna happen for the next few days. I get to work bothe jobs between now and when I leave.. After all that I get to go on vacation and see Erin! Well, that about raps it up... Later^_^ |

As I was listening to My Chemical Romance today I was reminded of an artist I hate with a passion and yet he is the same artist who has inspired so many of the Japanese bands I listen to. His name is Hide, as the former lead guitarist of X Japan he wrote half of the songs I love by that band and was part of the reason I loved them so much. But as far as the content of his songs went; well, you could always tell his apart from yoshiki's and toshi's due to content. Hide's lyrics were more psychotic and masochistic.. while toshi and yoshiki had more touching songs.. Hide branched off in his later career and showed the extent of his "artistic" side. It was through X Japan and Hide's solo career that other bands like Dir en Grey, Gazette, L'arc en Ciel, and Malice Mizer would emmerge. In 1998, on a very special day, he killed himself. THis has been a long week for me.. mostly because I just want to get it over with. I had theft at one of my jobs to deal with, and a heavy schedule to work through. Plus I've just been in a wierd mood.. but I'm out of it finally.. at least enough for no one to notice it anymore^_~. But now today was the start of my last week til my wonderful vacation w/ Erin and away from everything else.. (sweeeeeeeet!) but eah, today I had an awesome start to my week by doing well at RS. SO, here's the update I said I would put up^_^. This past month has been busy. I had to redue inventory at one job, get evaluted at another, try to clean my apartment(still working on it), errand(sp?) runs, trying to catch up on sleep, all the while planning for two weeks from now when I get to embark on a road trip with Erin(WOOHOO!!). Hmm.. that really about sums it all up... I found a new artist I like.. she's a Russian singer, but she's as good as TaTu in my opinion and the style is nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-PXt18afWc Currently I'm searching for a new church. My pastor left the old one. Don't really no why... But I can't stand the preachers they have trying to replace him.. GRRRRRRR!!!! So I just decided to try others. I thought that was a funny fortune.. Still not too much goin on here.. Tomorrow I plan to see X-men 3, and get a hair cut.. Sad part is, it's so good it's almost nostaelgic. Also, Joe told me that a new evangelion manga was out. I had heard about it but I hate it when people mess with something that already good. I went to the lake for the last couple of days with my parents. We had a lot of fun.. talked a lot.. We stayed up til 2:00 am watchin tv last night, and today we went swimming in the lake.. I am now burned all over but it's not soo bad... we also floated around in a lazy river.. then we had hamburgers and played a dice game call bunco.. On my way home I saw a sweet display of clou-to-ground lightning, with a pretty clear sky, no thunder that I could hear, rain way off in the distance, and a sunset blended in.. First time I had ever seen something like that.. Anyway, that's been my last couple of days, and in the next few days I hope to go see X-men 3.. adios |

I don't know.. not too much besides the same things has been happening lately.. I suppose that doesn't mean I cn't make story about it^_~. So here it is.. Work work and more... yeah... I have had a long couple of week at bothe my jobs. dealing with management, customers, coworkers, all of the stresses you would think a job would bring.. I've gotten to meet a few quirky characters in the process and still enjoy it all. I had to stay past closing last night to put tags up, but I got home in time to get enough sleep. Also I finally got my butt back out on the tennis courts.. how I missed it so... But aside all thatI have decided I'm going to try to take 5 classes a semester starting next Spring. Also, I hope to enroll in at least four classes next Summer. I just wan'na be done with school, and get onto law school.. if that makes any sense... but yeah.. Sarah is moving to California in about 2 weeks, Danielle is moving out of her house finally, and Erin graduates college next week! wow.. life is moving at a pretty good pace. Other than that, I've been listening to new music and trying to find people I like I've never heard before. Rob Dougan, Imogen Heap(THANK YOU ERIN!!^_^), and one of my friends, are a result of this. I still listen to everything. Tatu has a new song out called gomenasai.. Russian band, English lyrics, Japanese title... I dun'no but it worked. Also, though I'm not a huge fan of Hikari Utada, her new song Passion is awesome! AIK(All Insane Kids) have me hooked on a song called Caught in a Dream. Well, since I've begun to ramble I'll quit for now^_^.. hope to post a new entry soon.. later. Exams are here! darn it... you wish you can avoid them but it just doesn't happen. I took three of them in the past two days. I feel I did well, I just hope my teachers agree. This weekend is inventory at my store... hours of counting EVERYTHING!!! I will finish by Sunday... so looking forward to Sunday. Then my last exam is on Mon. Then on Tues. I start my babysitting of a demon dog.. woot.. oh well.. I suppose it's the consequence I receive for loving evil things.. Anyway, not too much else going on here.. Tis is just a quick post, but some movies you may wanna keep an eye out for are Silent Hill, The Notorious Betty Page, and xxxholic. Silent Hill looks promising but I think they may have deviated from the sory plot... as a matter of fact, from what I saw of the preview I'm sure they did... but it still might be promising. The Notorious Betty Page is a movie about the pinup model named Betty Page. I couldn't say whether or not this movie 'll be any good, the way it's filmed looks good, but also I'm not sure just how close it'll folow her life story and to what extent.... xxxholic, sounds like a porno doesn't it, rest assured it's not. It's a well animated anime by CLAMP. You might know CLAMP from other such works like X, Magic Knights Rayearth, Tokyo Babylon etc.The story line looks interesting, and they have a new style in which they portray the characters... strange but looks great! Wel, things are going good. I'm enjoying my week off from school but I do wanna go back already. Don't get me wrong, I loooovvvee all the sleep I've been getting, but witht he combination of just wanting to get college out of the way and getting back to my normal schedule and debates, I just wanna go back already. Been a while since I wore glasses... 3 year old pair and they still look good not to mention work. Wish I could make a pair of sunglasses last as long. I'm finally back from Indiana.. it was a fun trip.. I had a good time.. Erin did an awesome job with her recital. I already miss the dorm life.. however, somethin tells me dorm life at USC wouldn't be quite that same as dorm life there... Now I have a week, to do nothing^_^.. course I'm gonna fill that nothingness with a lot of somethings.. I gotta put new tags on my car, talk to my appraiser, yadayadaya, and then aI'll be off to school again next week. Anyway, things are good^_^. |
